Description:

Vintage set of 4 Japanese novelty insect pin brooches from an old novelty store collection. These colorful plastic pins feature a blue beetle, rhinoceros beetle, fly, and dragonfly design. Each piece is still attached to its original card marked "Japan" and appears to be mint unused / new old stock (NOS).

These were purchased years ago during a cleanout of an old novelty store and have remained unused. They are approximately 3 inches each and have excellent colors, detail, and the fun mid-century novelty style that collectors love.

I am not sure if these are considered toy jewelry, costume jewelry, or novelty pins, but they are definitely a great example of vintage Japanese plastic novelty production from the 1960s era (estimated).

Condition:

• Pins are unused and still attached to original cards
